The Lost Hero

I just started a new book by Rick Riordan. It is called "The Lost Hero", and is part of another new series by Riordan called "The Heroes of Olympus". So far this book is amazing and I think it might be even better than the Percy Jackson series. I'm not very far in it yet but the beginning is kind of mysterious. You may be asking yourself: Is this a follow-up of the Percy Jackson books? Yes! is is basically the second generation of demigods (Percy has gone missing and Annabeth is still alive. It has only been a couple years since The Last Olympian took place.). It is about 3 kids, Jason, Leo, and Piper who have been friends since when they started a term or semester at their new school. Well, at least  Leo and Piper think so. Their school is called Wilderness School, and it is not for good kids. It is for kids who did things that they weren't supposed to do. For example, steal a BMW convertible when your seven (Piper actually did that one!). "We go to the 'Wilderness School' which means we're 'bad kids'. Your family, the court or whoever, decided you were too much trouble so they shipped you off to this lovely prison-sorry 'boarding school- in Armpit, Nevada where you learn valuable nature skills like running 10 miles a day through the cacti and weaving daises into hats!". That is how Leo describes their school. I think this book is great and I would highly recommend that you read the Percy Jackson series before this series because it is the next generation of Percy Jackson. Even though I am not even half way, this book is amazing!

  2. I liked how you quoted the book in the paragraph but it seems like you were just stating things about the book in particular order.

  4. I think that you should post more on your main page, it makes it look like you hardly post.

  5. Is this meant to be a review? If so, well done. I would say though to pay attention to paragraphing, and the use of organization that lets the reader know what the purpose of the piece really is. be careful not to let any of your posts become too informal.

  6. Good post! Although I had problems not doing a summary when I read the book. You did a nice summary but I was wondering if there is another way you could have responded.
